Brian was nice enough to let me travel alone to Utah to spend a few days with my sister and her new baby Juliet and the rest of her family. He used the rest of his Christmas break to play 'mom' to our kiddos. And they all survived. He's such a sweetheart. I got to travel to Utah with my mom. She made the comment that the last time she was on a plane with me, I was 2. So it was a fun day of planes, layovers, and lugging luggage around. I had a really great time. Juliet is a sweet and cuddly, tiny bundle of joy. And I loved seeing all my Utah family and friends that were healthy enough to be around the baby. It was a nice break from the kids. I was sad to leave on Sunday morning because it's always so fun to be with everyone. When I finally got home (after going from the biggest airport I've ever been in (LAX) to the smallest airport I've ever been in (Visalia) on a scary small plane with fewer than 10 passengers), the kids seemed sort of happy to see me. Oliver did not want me this morning, though. He asked for Daddy, then ran into the kitchen and screamed 'no!' every time I asked if I could change his diaper or feed him breakfast. But since the girls started back at school today, we got to hang out and run errands together and he seemed to be my friend again eventually. Maybe he'll forgive me for going.

We met halfway between Visalia and San Jose and ate at Wendy's. Then Brian and the kids went back home and I went with mom to fly out of San Jose. I love this pic of Aubrie feeding Oliver a frosty. Classic Aubrie.
Brian sent me these while I was in Utah. Such cute pictures. They enjoyed some really fun park time together.
