Gwen had a special winter musical celebration at school today. (Cause they can't call it a Christmas concert. Blah). It happened to fall on a day when Brian was done at noon and in town, so we all got to go. We wanted to get there early so we could get good seats. Of course, we left later then planned. But then we stood in a line like we were at Disneyland until after the program was supposed to start. We miraculously got to sit in the last row of chairs. The kids sang a bunch of songs with cute hand motions. Gwen did a great job. She also had a weird nervous action she kept doing - sticking her tongue into her cheek and making it bulge. It was pretty weird. Oliver liked the concert a lot. He stood on Brian's lap and danced and moved along with the kids. Aubrie had a really hard time sitting still, but we made it through. Christmas break starts tomorrow after school. I would be more excited if Brian was done then too. But it really means me and the kids hanging out nonstop for like three weeks. Yikes. I hope we all survive!
...and a hippo new year!
