It even attacked Brian

Everyone made it out safe, sound, and clean!
I made sugar cookies this week. We decorated a few for FHE. Gwen took some to decorate at her class Christmas party at school. And then we decorated some more with friends today. And I might even bring some to a party we are going to tomorrow night. A lot of fun out of one batch!

Last weekend we headed up to San Jose to spend time with the Grandparents Klingler. While we were there, we went to the creche exhibit. It was really neat. 100's of nativity scenes from all around the world. And a kids room where they had a marionette show, crafts, dress up, and other touchable stuff. The girls had fun (except that Aubrie was scared of the puppets and couldn't be calm enough to look at the creches). We also got to attend my parents Christmas party and see Zion perform. Although I didn't recognize a single kid in the choir, they sang the same music as when I was in it. It was a fun weekend. We're glad we'll be back soon! Can't believe Christmas is just a couple weeks away. Yeah!

The thing that as a mother of girls, you can expect and dread. Aubrie received her first haircut at the hands of the not-so-skilled-but-willing-to-risk-it-on-someone-else Gwen. It looks bad. And I cried. Poor Aubrie has had hair issues her whole life and now she's back to square one on the top of her head. It's basically a mullet. The opposite of her baby days when she pulled out all the hair on the sides of her head (see bottom picture). =(. I guess I'm going to take her to a hair place soon and see what they can do with what's left. Why couldn't Gwen have cut her own ponytail? She could stand to lose a few inches!

Today we went on another field trip to a museum that contained Indian artifacts and really old stuff to look at. There were a bunch of buildings we could wander through to look at stuff such as an old printing press, a room with buggies, an old jail, houses filled with old stuff, old schoolhouses, and an old train caboose that we could climb onto. It wasn't the most exciting thing for the kids, but they still had fun. Aubrie wouldn't stay behind the ropes and kept touching the antique pianos, but most of the other stuff wasn't touchable. I would have liked being able to read a few more things, but oh well. Good times.
